Rick Ross is the greatest teacher I have ever had. I joined choir on a whim to hang out with friends, but he made it so much more. He has a genuine concern for his students and their well being and helps each one reach their potential, something he can always see. I was incredibly lucky to have such a great person and role model in those very important high school years. Mr. Ross knows what both the students and the schools need to be successful. There is no one better suited to fight for students and teachers and I'm positive he will have an incredible impact given the opportunity to be on the governing board.

Rick Ross is an icon in the District. There is no better person to advocate for the students or teachers. He is fair, he listens, he is just a good person to his core.

I am proud to support Rick Ross for the Paradise Valley School Governing Board. As a former Paradise Valley student and the owner of several Valley businesses, I understand the lasting impact our schools and educators can have on students and the entire community. Rick made a meaningful difference in my life. His guidance, encouragement, and belief in my potential helped shape the person, leader, and business owner I am today. I have also witnessed him positively influence many other students by recognizing their strengths, building their confidence, and encouraging them to succeed. Rick genuinely cares about students, families, teachers, and our community. He understands that education is about academics, character, responsibility, and preparing young people for their futures. Mr. Ross was more than my Highschool choir director. He was one of those rare teachers who saw something in you, believed in you, and left an impact that lasted long after graduation. Decades of students have been fortunate to call him a teacher, mentor, and friend—and I'm incredibly grateful to be one of them. He's dedicated his life to education and to helping young people become better versions of themselves. Now, he's putting that same passion and commitment toward serving our schools. I'm proud to support Mr. Ross. The community would be lucky to have him.

I worked with Rick Ross for 13 years at Shadow Mountain High School. He is a man who understands PVUSD. He supports his school, his community, his teachers, and most importantly, his students. He is the visionary leader that PVUSD desperately needs. He has my most emphatic recommendation for the school board, my thanks, and my respect!

I took Choir with Mr. Ross at Shadow Mountain, and after all my years of schooling, I can honestly say no educator had a greater impact on my life. In 34 years as a teacher and administrator in the district, he's built community, brought out the best in people, and made countless students feel seen and supported. 20+ years later, I'm lucky to still call him a mentor and friend. That combination of deep district experience, thoughtful leadership, and a genuine understanding of what students and educators need is exactly what I believe would make him an effective governing board member.

I first worked with Rick when I was the principal of Greenway Middle School and Rick was Greenway's chorus teacher during the 1990s. It soon became obvious to the Greenway community that Rick was not only a knowledgeable and talented chorus teacher, but that this young man was destined to become a Master Teacher and a dedicated advocate for all children. His leadership and inter-personal skills allowed him to bring together all sides of an issue and to implement solutions to challenges and problems that first and foremost benefited the students of Greenway Middle School. Lucky indeed will the entire community of the Paradise Valley Unified School District be when the knowledge, passion, compassion and skills of Rick Ross become an integral part of improving the educational offerings for all the district's students, their parents and staff of our great Paradise Valley School District.
